The National Institute of Blood Disease and Bone Marrow Transplantation (NIBD & BMT) is a speciality teaching healthcare establishment network leading in the field of cancers, blood diseases and also offering curative treatment of bone marrow transplantation to many otherwise terminal diseases.

NIBD & BMT was founded by Prof. Dr. Tahir Sultan Shamsi (late).

Our expertise encompass comprehensive diagnosis, management & curative treatment to patients suffering from blood cancers and blood disorders. We are the pioneers in bone marrow transplantation in Pakistan, and we have done more than 1300 BMTs so far.

We are proud to have developed as a teaching institute with strong research-based educational programmes, services and imparting education to meet the requirements of professionals for postgraduate studies, certification courses, and diplomas in the various fields of medical sciences such as clinical haematology, lab haematology, medical oncology, bone marrow transplantation, clinical pharmacy, laboratory, and nursing.
